Žabljak is located in northern Montenegro, in the heart of Durmitor National Park. It is a mountain town, so travel times can be longer than the distance may suggest, especially during weekends and the summer season.
Travelling by car is usually the most practical way to reach Žabljak and move around the area during your stay.
Žabljak can be reached by road from several directions, including Podgorica, Nikšić, Pljevlja, Mojkovac, and the Tara Canyon area. Road conditions are generally good, but mountain roads may be narrow and winding, so we recommend planning enough time for your journey.
