The Durmitor Trail 100 km is the inaugural ultra of the 2027 edition: a point-to-point race from Mojkovac to Žabljak, crossing the Sinjajevina plateau and finishing with the full Durmitor mountain loop.
The race starts at 02:00 in Mojkovac. Runners climb to Crkva Ružica and continue across the open, treeless Sinjajevina plateau past Zabojsko jezero, Kurozeb, Mandića Do and Pašino Polje to Zminica. The night start means the most exposed part of the course is covered in the cool of the night and early morning, and Durmitor is reached in daylight.
From Zminica the course continues through Njegovuđa and Junča Do to the Stadium in Žabljak (km 63.6), where runners pass through the event area and can use their drop bag. The second half follows the 50 km course: Bosača, Zminje jezero, Ališnica, Botun, Škrka, Škrčko Ždrijelo, Šarban, Sedlo, Modro, Stožina and Savin Kuk, before descending past Crno jezero and Vojno to the finish at the Stadium.
The course length is 102 km. Entry requires a qualifying result achieved between 1 January 2024 and 31 May 2027 – for example a race with a UTMB Index in the 50K, 100K or 100M category, a race worth at least 2 ITRA points, or the 42 km or 65 km at Durmitor Trail 2024–2026.
