The Five Lakes 21 km race starts at the beautiful Crno Jezero, one of Durmitor’s most iconic locations. The opening section follows approximately 700 meters of asphalt road before entering the first forest climb — a 2 km ascent with nearly 200 meters of elevation gain.
After this first climb, runners descend briefly back toward the shoreline of Crno Jezero, where the route follows a scenic loop around the lake. The trail then continues through a quiet mountain forest, with rolling terrain and steady climbing leading toward Zminje Jezero.
From Zminje Jezero, the course continues toward Bosača village, before entering one of the more demanding parts of the race: a steep 2 km climb gaining around 250 meters toward Jablan Bare. The route then passes near Jablan Jezero and continues upward to the panoramic viewpoint of Ražana Glava, adding another short but rewarding climb.
From Ražana Glava, runners enter a scenic final descent back toward Crno Jezero, passing the peaceful Barno Jezero along the way. The race finishes at Crno Jezero, completing a compact but diverse mountain course through forests, lakes, climbs, viewpoints, and classic Durmitor scenery.
