Žabljak is a small mountain town, and Durmitor Trail takes place in and around Durmitor National Park. Please plan your stay, transport, parking, and daily logistics in advance, especially during the summer season when the area can be busy.
Race package pickup will take place at **Sportski Centar Žabljak**. Participants will collect their start packages, race bibs, and other race materials there during the official registration and pickup hours. Parking near Crno Jezero is paid and can be busy during summer. It may be easier to park further away and walk to the lake area.
Durmitor Trail does not manage parking services and has no relation to parking providers. Participants and visitors are responsible for choosing their own parking and covering any parking fees.
There is no well-developed local public transport system inside Žabljak. Taxis may be available, but availability can vary, especially during busy periods.
If you are staying outside the town center or without a car, please plan your transport in advance.
Race-specific shuttle bus information, where applicable, will be published on the official Race Info and Race Details pages.
Durmitor Trail takes place inside Durmitor National Park. Entrance to the National Park is normally paid.
On race day, registered participants can enter the National Park with their race bib. Spectators, family members, and accompanying persons may need to pay the regular entrance fee.
Please respect the National Park rules and help us protect Durmitor’s nature.
Weather in the mountains can change quickly, even in summer. Sunny and warm conditions can turn into rain, wind, fog, or low temperatures.
We recommend bringing suitable clothing for both warm and cold weather, especially if you plan to spend more time outdoors before or after the race.
Žabljak has shops, restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, and basic visitor services. However, during busy summer periods, restaurants and shops may be crowded.
Card payments are accepted in many places, but it is useful to have some cash with you, especially for parking, National Park entry, taxis, small purchases, or places that may not accept cards.
For race-specific details such as start locations, shuttle buses, mandatory equipment, aid stations, cut-offs, GPS tracks, and race rules, please check the official Race Info and Race Details pages.
