Participants agree to:

6.1 Race Bib Use

  • Clearly visible at all times throughout the race.

  • Shuttles and transportation,
  • Aid stations and refreshment points,
  • Medical support services,
  • Post-race meals and amenities,
  • Drop bag pickup.

In the event of race withdrawal, the bib will be invalidated by the staff. However, the runner must keep it in order to access logistical services (e.g., transport, meals).

7.1 Start Procedure

All races will begin with a mass start. Participants must arrive at the designated start location at least 30 minutes before their race begins to attend the technical briefing and check-in.

Bus transport will be organized only for the 42KM Ten Lakes race. Runners must gather at Žabljak town square (Trg Durmitorskih ratnika) exactly one hour before the race start. The shuttle will take them to the start line at Riblje Jezero.

For the 42KM race, a drop bag area will be organized next to the starting line. Participants may leave their labeled bags there before the start. Bags will be transported by the organizer to the finish area at Crno Jezero and handed back upon presentation of the race bib.

For the Vertical Kilometer, participants must return on foot to the base of the Savin Kuk Ski Center after completing the climb.

Late arrivals will not be allowed to start.

All courses are clearly marked with visible trail markers, flagging, or signs.

No additional signage or painted markings will be applied in forest areas to protect the environment.

Runners must follow the marked route at all times. Taking shortcuts or unmarked paths is strictly forbidden and will result in disqualification.

IMPORTANT: If at any point a participant cannot see trail markings for more than 200 meters, they should turn back to the last known marker.

To enhance navigation:

  • GPS tracks of each race will be available on the official website.
  • It is strongly recommended to download the latest version of the track on a GPS-capable device (watch or phone).

If a runner is in difficulty or witnesses another participant in need:

  • Alert the nearest volunteer, aid station, or marshal immediately.
  • Use the emergency phone number printed on the race bib if direct contact is not possible.
  • If unable to assist directly, ask another runner for help.

Please be aware that in remote mountain areas, assistance may take longer than expected. Each runner is responsible for their own safety and must carry the required emergency equipment.

Any runner requesting or requiring medical intervention (e.g. intravenous drip, immobilization) automatically agrees to be withdrawn from the race.

The choice of evacuation method is at the discretion of the official medical staff. Any costs incurred during evacuation or medical care are the responsibility of the participant.

8.2 Medical Authority

Official medical personnel and race doctors are authorized to:

  • Withdraw a runner from the race if deemed medically unfit to continue.
  • Invalidate the runner’s bib, making further participation impossible.
